The Hellenic Tech Investor Club: €1 million Investments in High-Tech Startups

The establishment of the Board of Directors was announced by The Hellenic Tech Investor Club (Theti Club), the first Angel Club in Greece aimed at promoting innovation and investments in high-tech startups.

Comprised of esteemed leaders from various business sectors, the BOD is expected to play a crucial role in Theti Club’s mission to transform Greece into a global innovation hub.

The Board of Directors includes:

– Raphael Kontos, President. Founder and Visionary of Theti Club.

– Theodore Kitsos, Vice President. With extensive international career in senior corporate governance roles.

– Theodore Paraskevopoulos, Member. Founder and CEO of Growcreate, bringing a unique blend of expertise in design and financing.

– Anastasios Spanidis, Member. President and CEO of the business ecosystem G.P.A., adding entrepreneurial zeal and commitment to promoting Greece’s technological landscape.

– Chrysanthi Vakla, Member. Deputy CEO of Susten, complementing the BOD with her longstanding experience in the banking sector and dedication to innovation.

Theti Club was founded a year and a half ago with the aim to revolutionize investments in high-tech startups. It consists of over 90 top business angels from Greece, Family Offices, and Corporate Investors seeking investment opportunities in the technology sector, committed to providing funding, business guidance, and access to an extensive network of contacts in startups. The Club’s goal is to invest €1 billion by mid-2024.

So far, more than 400 startups have been evaluated, mostly Greek companies or companies abroad with a Greek DNA in their founding teams. The latter are based in countries across Northern Europe, the Middle East, and the USA. In total, 32 companies have pitched for funding, with 8 successfully securing the necessary capital.

The total investments made in the last 12 months amount to around €500,000, with the Club aiming to double this amount by 2024. Theti Club’s portfolio includes companies such as Arcweave, CollegeLink, Mood, and Protio.
