Rumor Alert: Nintendo Switch 2 might come with 12GB RAM

The Nintendo Switch 2 could pack 12GB RAM, triple the amount compared to its predecessor. The info comes from the Famiboards website, supposedly based on documents related to product shipments between NVIDIA and Nintendo. Reddit user ‘Darthdiablo’ claims to have found data about the T239 being tested by NVIDIA India, devkits (Carpa X1, IWOH), and info about Hosiden in Vietnam producing components for Nintendo consoles. He then mentions identifying marks matching existing Switch models (OLED, Lite, orig, v2), as well as an unknown one possibly linked to the next Japanese console.

Going through the data, Famiboards suggests that Nintendo Switch 2 will feature 12GB of RAM, likely two 6GB modules running at 7500 MT/s LPDDR5. It also mentions 256GB of storage, using Universal Flash Storage (UFS 3.1).

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the Switch 2’s memory specs, but until official announcements, it’s all just rumors.
