Palmos Analysis: Strong Lead of 17.7 Units for ND – Dominant Victory of Kyriakos Mitsotakis

ND and Kyriakos Mitsotakis are leading with a 17.7 unit advantage (31.8%) over the second party of SYRIZA (14.1%) in voting intention, just two months before the European elections, according to the “Palmos Analysis” poll conducted for “Eleftheros Typos”.

More specifically, in the voting intention for the European elections, ND is at 31.8%, SYRIZA at 14.1%, PASOK at 13%, Elliniki Lysi at 10.3%, KKE at 9.4%, followed by Plefsi Eleftherias with 4.2%, New Left with 4%, Niki with 3.5%, and Spartiates with 3.3%. The party of Democrats led by Andreas Loverdos is below the 3% threshold, with 1.3%, but it seems to be causing damage to PASOK.

Regarding the same question, but for the parliamentary elections, the percentages of the parties are as follows:

  • KKE 9%,
  • New Left 4.1%,

Dominant Victory of Kyriakos Mitsotakis

In the question about citizens’ opinion on political leaders, Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads significantly with 31% positive opinions, followed by Dimitris Koutsoumpas with 20% and Zoe Konstantopoulou with 19% in a surprising result of the poll. Next are Kyriakos Velopoulos (17%), Nikos Androulakis (14%), Stefanos Kasselakis (12%), Alexis Charitsis (8%), and Dimitris Natsios (6%).

When asked about their satisfaction with the government’s work, 29% said very or quite satisfied, 30% slightly satisfied, and 41% not at all satisfied.

Regarding the opposition exercised by SYRIZA, overwhelmingly disappointed are those who answered, as 63% said “not at all” and 22% “slightly,” while only 12% said “very or quite.”

One of the questions concerns the 50 years of ND and who they consider the most important leader in the party’s history for Greece and the party.

The first place understandably goes to the first leader of the Metapolitefsis, Konstantinos Karamanlis, with percentages of 60% and 56% respectively, followed by the current Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with 21% and 24% respectively.

Kostas Karamanlis follows with 20% and 18% and Konstantinos Mitsotakis with 16% and 18% respectively.

In the question of the most significant issues in the country, accuracy leads with 64%, followed by crime and health with 26%.

Moreover, 79% of ND voters believe that their party strengthens Greece’s position in Europe and the world, 69% think it is democratic and open to society, 68% believe it promotes economic growth, and 57% say it has social sensitivity.

When asked about society’s expectations for the second term of ND, 37% of citizens expect an improvement in their incomes and 46% expect healthcare strengthening. Also high are the fight against accuracy (28%) and the combatting of crime (16%).
