Opinion Poll: Wide gap between ND and SYRIZA with PASOK in third place

According to the latest Opinion Poll, there is a strong lead of 18.1% for ND (33.2%) over SYRIZA (15.1%) in voter estimation. This is the first poll conducted after the announcement of candidate lists for the upcoming European elections by parties. PASOK remains the third party with 12%, slightly down from before.

ND’s percentage increased by 1.1% compared to the previous poll in March. Greek Solution maintains a double-digit number at 10.5%.

The preferences of the public for the ND and SYRIZA candidates are recorded for the first time in this survey.

In detail, here are the percentages for the parties based on a sample of 1,006 households surveyed from April 20th to April 22nd:

  • SYRIZA 15.1%
  • PASOK 12%
  • KKE 8.7%
  • Greek Solution 10.5%
  • Spartiates 1.3%
  • Freedom Course 4%
  • NIKI 3.8%

The survey also presents the preferences of the public for the European Parliament candidates of ND and SYRIZA.

The leading candidates in public preference for ND are: Giorgos Avgenos with 41.4%, Pyrros Dimas with 28.5%, Vangelis Meimaracis with 27.4%, Elisabeth Vozenberg with 25.6%, Fred Beleris with 21.7%, and Manolis Kefaloyannis with 19.7%.

In the SYRIZA party, the public’s top choices for candidates are: Sofia Bekatorou with 35.2%, Nikos Pappas with 33.7%, Kostas Arvanitis with 27.9%, Elena Koundoura with 26.7%, Nikos Farandouris with 21.2%, and Marios Athanasiou with 17%.

Following in order of preference are George Tsipras with 16.3%, Vasilis Kasselakis with 14.5%, Evangelos Antonaros with 10%, and then Dora Tsampazi with 9%, Dora Avgeri with 7.7%, and Myrto Korovesi with 7%.
