Meeting between Doukas and Zachariadis at Municipality of Athens: “It is possible to overturn, the goal is for Bakoyannis to be defeated”

The tête-à-tête lasted just under an hour and took place in a friendly atmosphere. According to reports, they discussed the problems of Athenians, such as the difficult everyday life, security, the issue of school buildings, and social inequalities that affect everyone living and working in Athens. They also talked about the iconic actions that will make Athens more sustainable, safe, resilient, and inclusive.

Charis Doukas called on all Athenian men and women who want to change the city and improve their lives, to vote. He particularly urged those who did not participate in the first round to cast their votes this Sunday. “Participation is fundamental to democracy,” he stated.

On his part, Kostas Zachariadis raised three important issues: the environmental-energy, real estate, and the issue of PYRKAL (a local agency handling gas-related matters). He also called for participation in the upcoming second round of elections. He emphasized that it is possible to overturn the current situation and the goal is for Kostas Bakoyannis to be defeated.
