“Fire” won the championship after the results of the 8th round of the Super League playoffs, with AEK, PAOK, and Olympiacos in the title race. PAOK beat AEK 3-2 in a turnaround at Toumba and climbed to 71 points, leaving AEK at 75 points.
PAOK has one match less than AEK, as well as Olympiacos, who crushed Lamia 4-1 and reached 70 points. These are the three teams competing for this year’s title, as Panathinaikos essentially dropped out of the race after losing 1-0 to Aris at Leoforos.
